Yamaha FZR Racers Win APBA Racing National Titles
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Yamaha FZR WaveRunner racers and teammates Dustin Charrier and Amy Green clinched APBA national championships on Sunday at the final round of the national tour held at Percy Priest Lake in Tennessee.
In men’s action, Charrier and his Dean’s Team Yamaha FZRs won national championship titles in Pro Runabout Stock and Pro Runabout Open in some of the most exciting racing action of the season.
“The combination of raw power of the 1812cc motor matched with the lightweight hull, make the FZR the boat of choice for closed course racing. Dean’s Team has worked hard to release the full potential of this platform, and it’s clear through these results that it is the highest performing PWC out there,” said Charrier.
In women’s action, Amy Green clinched the Runabout Stock class abroad her Dean’s Team Yamaha FZR. “My Dean’s Team Yamaha FZR held together great this season after 10 grueling rounds of racing. We were very successful getting the most performance possible out of my FZR with any major mechanical problems and that is how you win national titles,” said Green.
The next stop for Charrier and Green is the IJSBA World Finals in Lake Havasu City, AZ in October.
