It starts from Circeo, between landscapes and music

The first appointment of the Poetic Walks is set for Saturday 10 September, with the itinerary that will start from the Crocette to arrive at the Capo Circeo Lighthouse. The scenic route immersed in nature will begin at 6 pm and will end with the concert of the Circeo Music School Band, which will perform at sunset at the Lighthouse. After the 5-kilometer walk, a packed dinner with local products and music will conclude the first chapter of the 2022 review. The concert, which will cover the cultural and artistic aspect, will be a tribute to the sun and will see on on stage the voice of Simone Mauti accompanied by the guitars of Manuel Attardo and Alessio Ottaviani. Circeo Music School has been collaborating with the Exotique Association for 15 years. The following day will be dedicated to the wetlands of the Circeo National Park, with a walk that will review the four coastal lakes and the flooded area between the Pantani dell’Inferno and the Duna Litoranea, ending on the beach with the show “Of good bacteria and other stories” with the poems and music of Camillo de Felice and Elia Ciricillo. The performance is taken from the book of the same name published by the theater actor Camillo De Felice. Elia Ciricillo, who will accompany De Felice’s voice on the guitar, is the singer of the historical group of Italian popular music Acquaragia Drom and has collaborated with names such as Piero Pelù, Moni Ovadia, Paolo Rossi and Gogol Bordello.

Sailing from Ventotene to Santo Stefano

From 16 to 18 September the sea will be the protagonist of the review of itineraries chosen by Exotique. The Poetic Sailing will begin in Ventotene, where it will land on Friday 16 September to discover the most beautiful coves of the island. The weekend will coincide with one of the most folkloristic festivals of the Pontine coast, Santa Candida, the patron saint of the island. Symbol of the welcome of Ventotene, the feast originates from the legend according to which the tortured body of a Carthaginian woman was carried by the waves to Cala del Pozzillo to be piously elected Patron Saint of fishermen and farmers. The festival has been recognized since 2011 as “Heritage of Italy for tradition” by the Ministry of Tourism. Saturday 17 the program includes the landing for the excursions that will review the most significant places on the island that inspired Altiero Spinelli and Ernesto Rossi to write the Ventotene Manifesto “For a free and united Europe” in 1941. The day will end at sunset with “Leuca”, the solo concert by Rachele Andrioli, who with classical and electronic instruments with which she will accompany her voice, will offer a tribute to her land, to Capo di Leuca and to the sea as a symbol of exchanges and cultural contamination. To frame the concert, which will be in the garden next to the Palazzo del Comune, the sunset on the island of Santo Stefano. The day will end at sunset with “Leuca”, the solo concert by Rachele Andrioli, who with classical and electronic instruments with which she will accompany her voice, will offer a tribute to her land, to Capo di Leuca and to the sea as a symbol of trade and cultural contamination. To frame the concert, which will be in the garden next to the Palazzo del Comune, the sunset on the island of Santo Stefano.
